How To Earn With Bloggers (5) Inline Adds

In-line Text ads are CPC links that appear in the text of your content. The links are contextually targeted to keywords in the Ad Networks’ database of advertisers to show relevant adverts. Mouse over of these links will cause a small pop-up to appear showing basic details of the advert and a click from your visitor will take the visitor to the advertiser and reward you with revenue.
Here are the reviews listed : –
Adbrite

Ads Rating:Adbrite has a lot of advertisers but their contextual engine seems random and shows their network ads seemingly from random.

Views: Easy set-up if you are using Adbrite already or want to use Adbrite’s other options. Being In-line text, you are bound to get clicks and revenue especially with Adbrite’s large advertiser base, sometimes clicks at over USD1 are not unheard of.

Clicksor

Ad Rating: We ran the In-line texts with a skyscraper banner. The loading seemed a bit slow but we did not further investigate whether this was due to the banner or the in-line text ad.

Views: We believe that the CTR of the in-line text ads shows how well the engine works and Clicksor ran in at quite a low ratio for in-line text ads. Whether this was due to the relatively short period of time we had the Ad code on our site or maybe they have not optimized their ads for our sites yet, we are not sure but CPC did not seem high neither.

Kontera

Kontera is a well set up Ad Network that specializes on in-line Text Ads.

Ads Rating: Their contextual engine, ContentLink is the best out of the networks we have reviewed here as their partnership with shopping.com and Dealtime means that if they do not find a relevant keyword, they will use keywords and apply them in a partner ad .. For example : ‘Sausages’ at DealTime
Millions of products, Get the best deals at DealTime! This gives the impression to your visitors that the ads are relevant to the content and increases the CTR and experience. Views: Kontera is one of our Favorite In-Line Text Ad Networks due to its ads and also steadier revenue. For our sites we average around 4% CTR and USD3 to USD3.5 eCPM.

17 Ways to Create Catchy Blog Titles That Drive Traffic

Having a catchy blog title plays the largest role in how much traffic your blog post will get. It determines where the post will rank in Google,
how many social shares the post will get, and if your email list will even take a chance on your latest featured post.
The mistake that most bloggers make is spending all of their time on the content of the post and just a couple of minutes on the headline copy. The headline is the most important piece of the post. If you fail to create a compelling headline, then your great piece of content will rarely get seen or shared.

Neil Patel identified the key statistic why bloggers need to focus more time and energy on headlines.

Over the past three years, I have crafted over 5000 post titles. Collectively, those article titles have driven over 58 million visitors to read those posts.

Are you ready to find out the statistically backed strategies I use to create top-notch blog titles every single time?

Let’s dive right into it.

#1 Use a Number At The Beginning of Your Blog Title To Move Up The Google Rankings

Numbered titles that lead to list formatted blog posts move up the rankings faster than any other type of blog post. The reason behind this, is that people prefer to scan through the key points of articles. If they see the number 11 at the beginning of the title, then it is clear to them that they will be able to quickly scan through the eleven key points that are listed within the post.

This psychological preference drives more clicks and keeps them reading numbered posts longer than the other competing Google results. Google’s algorithm recognizes this and rewards the numbered posts with higher rankings.

I recommend creating numbered blog titles for at least 50 percent of your posts. A few examples of numbered blog titles are…
“9 Best Strategies for Catchy Blog Titles”
“21 Great Ideas for Blog Titles”

Conductor did a study on what people preferred in a headline, and the study revealed that the numbered headline was the clear winner.

#2 The Odd Numbered Blog Post Title Outperforms The Even Numbered Title

Although no one has yet to explain the psychology behind it, the odd numbered headline gets more clicks than the even numbered headline.

The Content Marketing Institute published the results of a study that analyzed over 150,000 of the most successful headlines on their platform. They found that the odd numbered headlines were clicked on 20% more than the even numbered headlines.

#3 Write Blog Titles That Give Clarity To What Is In The Post

One of the main reasons why numbered posts perform so well is because it leave almost no ambiguity. In all of your blog post titles, no matter what the style, aim to give the reader clarity. This means your title should tell them what they are going to get in the blog post.

The Conductor study on headlines found that click through rates significantly increased with headline clarity.

#4 Sentence Case is the Best Style to Use for Headline Capitalization
The three most common types of headline capitalization styles are:
Sentence Case – “13 Ways to Make Your Blog Awesome”
Lower Case - “13 ways to make your blog awesome”
Capitals – “13 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR BLOG AWESOME”

The Conductor headline study identified that sentence case is preferred 300% more than the other capitalization styles.

#5 Use 57 Characters or Less in Blog Titles To Keep Google From Cutting Them Off
If your blog title is too long, then Google is going to cut off the tail end of it. The two techniques used to optimize title length for Google are:
Bare Minimum Characters – This strategy focuses on keeping all titles under 45 characters to ensure that the complete title gets read. Keep in mind that different letters take up more and less space. For example, the letter w takes up 4 times the amount of space as the letter i. If you limit the title to 45 characters, then it will only get cut off about 2% of the time.
Stacking The Target Keyword Phrase At The Beginning – If you use this strategy, then you will not be bound to a character limit. Just be sure the keyword phrase that you are wanting to be seen and rank for is in the first half of the blog title.

Moz studied over 28,000 titles that were on the first page of Google results for popular keyword phrases. They found that the range of post titles to be cut off was 42 to 68 characters, with the average being 57.7 characters.

#6 The Ideal Number of Words For A Blog Title is Six

Now you do not need to go crazy on this one and only write headlines with six words. The big takeaway from this is to make your first six words count. Because people scan headlines, those six words need to quickly state what the article is about. These examples of longer headlines demonstrate how get the primary message across in the first six words:
“21 Tips for Making Blog Titles That Rock”
“7 Stats on Blog Titles That Will Shock You”

CoSchedule analyzed a group of different studies on headline length, and they confirmed that six words is the magic number.

#7 Using One Superlative in Your Blog Title Will Get You The Best Results

A superlative is a strong adjective that is placed at the beginning of the title for extra emphasis. They can give you a boost in clicks, but you want to limit yourself to one really good one in your blog title.
Title without superlative – “17 Ways to Get More Blog Traffic”
Title with superlative – “17 Best Ways to Get More Blog Traffic”

The Conductor study found that 51% of the people they surveyed preferred 0-1 superlatives in the headline.

#8 Scare Them Into Clicking With a Negative Superlative
Life insurance commercials having been scaring us into buying policies for decades. The same psychological concept works with blog titles. For example, “11 Best Ways To Build Your Business” does not get as many clicks as “11 Worst Things That Will Destroy Your Business.”

Outbrain did a study on 65,000 titles within their network to compare titles with negative, positive, and no superlative. The titles with the negative superlatives clearly outperformed the rest by 30%.

#9 Incorporate The Most Shared 3 Word BuzzFeed Phrases Into Your Blog Titles

Buzzfeed is widely known as the king of headlines. They have spent millions on coming up with and analyzing headlines that outperform the rest. Instead of racking your mind to come up with your own clickable phrases, it is much easier to steal a page from Buzzfeed’s playbook.

Max Woolf was able to identify Buzzfeed’s most shared three word phrases. Not all of these will carry over to your blog topics, but there are at least ten all encompassing phrases everyone can use.

#10 Use “You” or “Your” to Address the Reader in the Blog Title
People like to feel as if you are talking directly to them. Here are a couple of examples of reader addressed titles:
“19 Great Blog Strategies That Will Grow Your Traffic”
“9 Blog Marketing Tips Just For You“

Buffer analyzed the most shared headlines on their platform, and they found that reader addressed titles ranked second behind the list post title.

#11 Do Not Come Across Too Pushy in Your Blog Titles

When creating compelling blog titles there is a fine line between being persuasive and being pushy. Here are a few examples of pushy headlines to avoid:
“31 Blog Titles You Have To Start Using Today”
“17 Must Have Headlines You Need to Use on Your Blog”

Outbrain’s headline study found that pushy headlines actually decreased engagement by 20%.

#12 Use a [Bracketed] Word in Blog Titles For Specific Types of Content

There are many people that love certain kinds of content. The bracketed word is the universal way for identifying specific types of content. Some of the bracketed content types with the highest click through rates are:
Templates – “8 Keys to Writing the Perfect Blog Title [Template]“
Infographics – “13 Eye Opening Stats on Headlines [Infographic]“
Interviews – “How Richard Branson is Changing the World [Interview]“

V3b revealed that bracketed clarifications in headlines increased the click through rate by 38%.

#13 Women Like Numbered Headlines More Than Men
If you have a gender specific blog focused on females, then you may want to use numbered blog titles in every 2 out of 3 posts.

The Conductor headline survey pointed out that women prefer numbered headlines almost 20% more than their male counterpart.

#14 Use Power Words to Create Emotional Blog Titles

CoSchedule conducted a study that measured the effect of the Emotional Marketing Value (EMV) of headlines on the total number of shares a post has. The results showed that the average EMV for posts with over 1000 shares was twice as high as posts with less than 100 shares.

So… How do you capitalize on this knowledge?

You can start by incorporating some of the 180 power words that the famous copywriter Karl Stepp uses for emotional selling.

#15 If You Are Going To Ask a Question in Your Blog Title, Use “How”

The only primary question word that performs well in headlines is “How.” A good example of this would be, “How to Write Killer Blog Headlines.”

BuzzStream identified the worst performing BuzzFeed headlines of all-time. They were able to narrow it down to 10 different styles of posts. Three of those ten were questions.
Would you…
What should…
Are you…

#16 Use CoSchedule’s Headline Analyzer to Fine Tune Your Blog Title
This tool will make sure your blog title is in perfect order before you publish your next post. Here are a few key areas it analyzes:
The right mix of common, uncommon, emotional and power words.
The ideal character and word count.
A preview of how the blog title will look in Google and in email.
Identification of the primary words people will read when skimming your headline.

How to create better blog titles that can drive more traffic to your ads

This is the third of five guest posts from AdSense publisher Brandon Gaille. Brandon has built his small business marketing blog, BrandonGaille.com,
to over 2 million monthly visitors in less than
three years. He’s featured as our guest blogger to share insights and tips from his personal blogging experience to help AdSense publishers grow earnings. If you’re new to AdSense, be sure to sign up for AdSense and start turning your #PassionIntoProfit.

Over the past three years, I’ve crafted titles for over 5,000 blog posts and have received over 58 million unique visitors to date. With that many titles and that much traffic, it’s allowed me to identify what types of titles get the most traffic.

The title of your page or blog post will play one of the largest roles in how much traffic you receive. From my extensive experience, a really great title can move your blog post dis and increase the number of social shares by over 300%.

The bottom line is… If you fail to write a compelling title that gets people to click, then your post is doomed to wallow in mediocrity.

Here are a few title optimization tactics that have proven to drive the most traffic.

#1 Place a number at the beginning of your title

If you have a list formatted post, then you need to be using numbered titles every single time. Titles that begin with numbers are proving to drive traffic. This is largely due to the increased consumption of users reading list posts more than any other type of blog post. A list post typically has anywhere from seven to forty key points, which are listed out numerically.
This makes it really easy for anyone to scan through the big takeaways and decide whether to dive deeper into the article. When people see the number 13 at the beginning of the title, they know they can scan through all 13 key points in a matter of seconds.

A numbered title paired with a list post will drive more clicks to your post and list style posts have one of the highest engagement rates. Posts with more clicks and higher engagement often are rewarded by becoming more discoverable to users.

Here are a couple of examples of numbered blog titles:

 • 11 Tools to Create Share-Worthy Content
 • 17 Incredible Social Media Statistics
I recommend crafting numbered blog post titles for more than half of your posts.

A Conductor study on headline preferences also backs up what I’ve found to be true on my blog.

#2 The odd number gets 20% more clicks than the even number

Although no one has figured out exactly why this happens, the odd numbered titles get more clicks than the even numbered titles. Here’s an example.
Odd Numbered Title: 11 Keys to Earning More Money on Adsense
Even Numbered Title: 12 Types of Ads that Convert

Before you hit publish on the blog post titled, “8 Crazy Ways to Double Your Ad Revenue,” take a moment to either add one more tip or remove the least valuable tip. This will allow you to capitalize on the extra twenty percent of clicks by having an odd numbered title.

How To Host Javascript Or .js files on Blogger Itself

How To Host Javascript Or .js files on Blogger, yes as blogger supports javascript which makes blogger support all the possible hacks in this platform, but the problem we bloggers face in using this
is , where to host this javascript on blogger.As blogger doesn’t provide any source to host javascript
for blog like it has provided picasa for images.As of before we all were using googlepages to upload the .js files but google closed this service and switched to google sites.As still we can upload these .js files to google sites but just upload it with file extension .txt instead of .js and it start working.
But still,we can face any problem in future with it.The best solution is to have paid server to host your files for unlimited bandwidth, but bloggers using this free platform dont like spending on it.
I also provided you with the list of some servers to upload your javascript files but the problem was bandwidth which was very less.

So i will provide you the best solution to host your javascript on blogger itself and enjoy unlimited bandwidth.

Now just see the below codes.

Just in place of red line in above code what you have to do is just open the .js file (which you are asked to download or upload to your own server) in notepad or on your browser , copy its code and paste it in place of above red line.And your javascript codes are now ready which are now hosted on blogger itself instead of hosting to third party server.

Now you will face no bandwidth problems.If you still have any problem related to this tutorial just leave your comments.

I use to prefer this program to my readers besides it also i had many good programs to join and earn and earn from them too.You can visit other affiliate programs here if you dont think this SFI program doesn’t support your website content.

How Show Blogger Profile Images In Comments As Avatars

How To Show Blogger Profile Images In Blogger Comments.As many of us bloggers saying it as showing of avatars in blogger comments but they are not avatars, they are just your blogger profile images and many readers also get mistaken by it, But they are right to say them as avatars, as they are
like avatars for our bloggers.As it has been near about an month blogger has released this feature and i have found most of the bloggers also using this in there blogs.But some still have problems and not have made the solution for blank spaces in comments for anonymous comments.So i would like to hold a complete detailed tutorial on it.The below picture show up how profile images show up in blog as i have taken this snapshot from my blog after implementing this hack.
Now How to enable the blogger profile images in blogger comments.

First of all Go to Blogger > Settings > Comments and enable “Show profile images on comment”
If you are using default blogger templates then they get enabled and profile images will start up to show in blogger comments.They can also start up to show up in some customized templates but it depends at to what extent there comment section been customized or not.

SOME OF THE PROBLEMS YOU WOULDN’T LIKE EVEN AFTER ENABLING PROFILE IMAGES IN DEFAULT TEMPLATE.

There will be two major problems in it.

1)The bloggers who don’t have uploaded there profile images to there profiles while comments will show up a blogger favicon of size 16×16 like below.It doesn’t look good from my point of view because the blogger profile images show up a picture of size 35×35.
2) The bloggers who do comments with there blog urls or anonymous comments will end up with a blank space in comments.That looks really awkward.It destroys the beauty of comment system as you can see from below image.
I have shown all the 2 problems in above picture as i hope it will be clear to you right now.Now we need to solve these problems.But first i would like to tell you about how to enable profile images in comments in blogs who are using customized templates, just what they they need is to edit small bit of codes in there blogger html.Now carry on with this tutorial.

HOW ENABLE BLOGGER PROFILE IMAGES IN CUSTOMIZED TEMPLATES

First of all enable the feature of profile images in your blogger settings as i showed above.Now check your comments.If it shows up blogger profile images in comments,then its ok else follow next step.

First step Go to Blogger Layout >Edit HTML and backup your template.Now Expand the widget templates and check if you can find this line there

If you don’t find above line then find below line:-

And replace it with the above line which you didn’t found in your codes.

And if you still not able to find the above line you may get this one:-

And replace it with the top most line which you didn’t found initially.

Now find this line in code:-

And replace it with below codes.
<b:if cond=’data:comment.favicon’>

</b:if>

<b:if cond=’data:blog.enabledCommentProfileImages’>

<data:comment.authorAvatarImage/>

</b:if>

If you are using the author comment highlighting trick then you can get this code once more in your template but not necessary.So replace it also with above codes.

Now Save your template and you will be now able to see blogger profile images in your comments as i showed above in picture but with the two problems of showing favicon of small size and blank space for anonymous and other url comments.
SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM

What we need is now to resize the blogger favicon to the size of blogger profile images and we need one more image for showing up for anonymous and url comments.As Soufiane from LeBlogger was the first to come out with the solution and helping us.

Now Just Go to blogger edit/Html and find for </b:skin> tag and place the below css codes before it.
/* Avatar */
.avatar-image-container img {
background:url(http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/ad516503a11cd5ca435acc9bb6523536?s=35);
width:35px;
height:35px;
}
You can just edit the image link, height and width in above css codes as you like.

Save it, You’re done.

Now The the above image will be shown up for anonymous and url comments and favicon will be resized to width and height of size as you set as above in css codes.Now check how the better comments look as compared to above i shown.

I am sure now you will have no problems in implementing this in your blogs.If still you have some problems leave your comments i will try to solve them.Best Of Luck !

As i have been seeing that some of the bloggers are not getting this line in there codes.So i wanna tell you one thing i.e the complete codes which enable profile images to be placed in the blogger.Just you have to place these codes in blogger, i think they might also can help you.

<dt expr:class=’"comment-author " + data:comment.authorClass’ expr:id=’data:comment.anchorName’>
<b:if cond=’data:comment.favicon’>

</b:if>

<b:if cond=’data:blog.enabledCommentProfileImages’>

<data:comment.authorAvatarImage/>

</b:if>

If you will put this codes in place of the code i told you find in beggining of tutorial that is the comment-block one the hack will also work, just you have to adjust the closing of div tags or dl or dt tags depends what have been defined in your template codes.

And if still you not able to do it and want to enable it,just invite me to your blog at my id anshulaffprg[at]gmail.com and i will do it in 5 minutes for you as i get admin to it.

11 Top Ways to Increase AdSense CPC

Before we discuss the top ways to increase AdSense CPC, let’s first define the term CPC or ‘Cost Per Click.’ If you are using Google AdSense on your web pages then you will know that these are adverts from Google’s AdWords advertising program. Advertisers using the AdWords program pay Google for every click made on their adverts.

When you place AdSense blocks on your web pages and blogs, you get paid a percentage of what advertisers pay Google. Currently this is 68% of the bid price for that advert. So if somebody is paying Google $2 for every click on a specific advert for a specific keyword, then you get $1.36 every time a visitor to your site clicks on that advert if Google has placed it on your page.
What you have to do is to do your best to maximize the CPC price, so that the adverts on your web pages and blog posts make you most money every time a visitor clicks on them. This involves getting Google to place the highest possible value adverts on your pages. You cannot decide the PPC of the published ads yourself – Google decides that based on several aspects of your web page/blog page/blog post. There are two factors involved here: the CPC and CTR (Click Through Rate) – the latter is the ratio of visitors who actually click on an advert rather than just read the page content and ignore the ads. A high CTR is often better than a high CPC.
Thus, if you get a CTR of 2% with adverts with a CPC of $0.75 (2 visitors in each 100 click on an advert), then that is better than a CTR of 1% with adverts with a CPC of $1.20. With the former, each 1,000 visits will make you $10.20 (68% of $15) while with the latter you would make only $8.16. So CTR matters, not just earnings per click. It’s how many that click that often makes your money, not always the cost of each click.
These are examples only, and your income per 1,000 visitors will depend upon the relevance of the AdSense ads to your visitors and where the adverts are situated on your site. There is also a lot you
can do to improve CTR, but let’s first focus on how you can attract the best paying adverts: those with the highest CPC. 1. Get Quality Traffic This is out #1 Tip on how to increase AdSense CPC. Many leave it till last or do not even mention it at all. It is my view that if your visitors are not properly focused on your niche, then they will not click on adverts appertaining to it. You must make sure that your traffic is seeking what you are advertising.
Many people use AdSense on their sites in the assumption that Google will provide relevant advertising. As you will learn shortly, this is true. However, while you might believe wrongly that your CPC will not change because of a failure to achieve this relevancy to your page, your CTR certainly will. Few will click on an advert not related to the keyword or phrase they used to get to your site.
Google uses many metrics when deciding what web pages get the top paying clicks, and one of these is almost certain to be your CTR for the ads they provide. The higher the CTR for a URL, then the higher CPC you are likely to get when your AdSense ads are refreshed on that page URL.
Google’s AdSense customers are the advertisers, and the company will do whatever it can to make sure that these paying advertisers get good value for money – or a good conversion rate from clicks. If you do not attract visitors to a web page or blog post that have a strong interest in the topic of the page or post, then your CTR might be low.
Not only that, but some of these visitors might click on ads just to see what they are – with no intention of buying. Google’s TOS are very strict with AdSense, and you could find your account being cancelled for life if you get too many clicks on your site that never lead to a sale.
It is extremely important for your web page to be relevant to a specific keyword for you to receive ads targeting that keyword, and also important that your visitors have a strong enough interest in that topic for them to click on the advert with a serious view to purchasing a product.
Otherwise, Google has its own way of analyzing the performance of your site, and you may experience a reduction in the higher CPC advertising on your pages. So make sure that traffic coming to your blog or website is following links or direct advertising that promote your specific niche. 2. Do Your Research The second tip on how to increase AdSense CPC is equally important. You must research your niche for the highest paying keywords. The way AdWords operates is that advertisers bid for keywords. The more they pay-per-click for a specific keyword, the higher in the Google SERPS their advert will appear. The niche is irrelevant – what is relevant is what each advertiser is willing to bid to get the #1 or even a Page #1 position for their advert on Google SERPS for that keyword. Take What You Get: As stated earlier, you cannot choose what AdWords ads you want to appear in your AdSense blocks. Google decides that according to the relevance of your page to the keyword. You may be given adverts appearing on Page #1 of the SERPS or on page 20. The advert on Page #1 obvious costs a lot more per click than that on page 20 – so your 68% share is likewise larger. Keyword Selection: That means you must also figure out what keywords you should use for the pages containing AdSense and the semantics you use on the page. Google uses an algorithm very similar to its LSI algorithm to establish the meaning of your page. The ads it places on that page or blog post will relate to the Google algorithm’s view of the content of that page. If you wish to target highpriced keywords, then select one and design the whole page around that. AdSense SEO Basics: Your Title tag and Meta description should include the targeted keyword, as should the H1 header and at least one H2 heading. The vocabulary you use in your page content
should relate semantically to the target keyword, and your image ‘alt’ attributes should also contain it. Where AdSense is concerned, classical SEO techniques definitely help to ensure you get the highest CPC ads included on the page.
Do your research, and establish the keywords targeted by the higher paying adverts – highest AdSense CPC. Optimize your web pages or blog posts for these keywords if you want to be given the highest CPC adverts for them. However, the content of your entire domain also matters: 3. The Entire Domain Counts Google is not stupid, and will take the theme of your entire domain into account. You cannot publish pages on a wide variety of topics and expect to receive relevant ads on each. Google will look at the authority of your entire site and its relevance to the top-paying keywords. An authority site may be rewarded with the higher priced keywords because Google looks after its advertisers.
If your site is not regarded as being focused on a specific keyword, then you may be given the lower priced keywords – based upon the content of that one page rather than the overall authority of your website or blog in relation to the main target keyword.
So be realistic with your expectations of AdSense income, because Google will not award you the highest CPC adverts unless it is sure that your blog will offer its customers a good service that attracts high-quality clicks from visitors genuinely interested in the product or service they are advertising. One way to persuade Google to increase your average CPC is to persuade its algorithms that your domain is an authority on the specific keyword you target. 4. Balance Ad Blocks Numbers with Content Length You are allowed three AdSense blocks on your page. However, do not use all three unless your content or blog posts are long enough to warrant it. Keep in mind what you have read above: Google apportions ads according to your content!
If your content is insufficient to give the Google algorithm enough information for your three ad blocks, then you may find your page containing irrelevant Adverts and even some public ads! These are general adverts irrelevant to your niche, and they will drastically reduce your average CPC. Many people get better results with just one ad block on short content pages, because all the ads will more focused on their topic and of a higher average CPC that if 2 or more blocks were published. 5. Analyze Your Ad Placement You can place ads right at the top of your page, in the middle, at the bottom as a footer on every page or anywhere else you want. Google usually offers you the highest paid ads it is prepared to give you to the first slot loaded. Are you aware of the loading order of each element on your blog or website page? If not, go to Google Webmaster Tools and look at your page as Google sees it:
Webmaster Tools -> Your Site -> Dashboard -> Crawl -> Fetch as Google
Click on ‘Complete’ or ‘Partial’ and you will see your site in the same order as Google sees it. The first AdSense block that appears in the text file will be the first that Google finds. That block will usually be given the highest CPC adverts, with lower CPC ads being provided in those blocks loading later. Split Testing of AdSense Ads
It will be worthwhile carrying out split testing to establish the best approach to increasing your AdSense CPC. Run a few days with only one ad block and a few days with two. Theoretically, your CPC should be better with just the one because that should be filled with higher-paying ads. Other split tests:
A single header advert vs. a block of 4. A video ad vs. a text ad A single ad at the end of a post vs. a single ad at the beginning. Compare various placement locations Use channels (see next Tip)
If you find internal ads performing well in spite of you using a header ad, then that tells you that readers are going deeper into your blog before clicking on adverts. Many people will avoid clicking header ads because these take them away from the information they are seeking. Once they have read your blog post, they might be open to clicking on adverts.
In this case, one or two AdSense ads at the bottom of a page, or end of a post, might perform better than those at the beginning. Keeping in mind that Google will likely provide the highest CPC AdSense to the first ads published on your page, then you might make more by using just one ad block in a position where testing has indicated you are likely to get most clicks.
So how do you establish which ad blocks are performing best? 6. Use AdSense Channels to Increase AdSense CPC You can set up your tests using AdSense channels. You can create custom channels to establish the CPC and CTR of individual ad blocks. Measure the performance of each channel over a period of 2-4 weeks and then design your AdSense strategy on the results. Channels can be created for individual adverts or ad blocks.
This enables you to delete any low-performing blocks, or to change their position on your page. Google may provide the highest-paying AdSense adverts to those adverts that perform best. That is because these advertisers are paying for maximum exposure. A top bid for a specific keyword not only get you top of Page#1 of Google SERPS for that keyword, but also exposure on the top performing ad blocks on the top performing web pages.
Custom channels enable you to establish the CTR and CPC of each of your individual ad blocks or even individual adverts. You can establish whether a single banner advert pays more than the combined income from each advert in a 4-ad block in the same position on your page. You can also set up channels to compare advert sizes. 7. Text, Image and Video AdSense Adverts During your testing and custom channel analysis keep in mind that some people prefer text ads to image ads, and some prefer video ads. Many expect AdSense ads to be text links, and deliberately avoid them. They might, however, click on an image and even more might click to watch an interesting video. Google classes videos as image ads – you get a click recorded when a video is clicked to ‘Play’. The entire video need not be played – just that initial click on the play button.
Always keep in mind that you don’t have to bother about what your visitors do after they make the click, because that’s all you get paid for. Attracting that click! It doesn’t matter if the video is of poor quality – or even if it fails to run! You get paid for the click! With AdSense, your task is to persuade visitors to click. When seeking ways to increase AdSense CPC, you job is to increase the price for that click.
Video adverts can get clicks even just for the interest value – many people will watch a video who wouldn’t dream of clicking a text ad. This is why it is so important to test the various advertising formats that AdSense offers. Channels might be the most appropriate method for you, although some have their own ways of doing this – generally by publishing optional ads for a short period of time each and comparing results.
8. Why Google Recommends Image and Video Ads You can only show one image or video advert at a time – you cannot display a row of image ads as you can text ads. This focuses your visitor’s attention on one advert. The more popular advertisers, manufacturers and service providers like to promote their brand. This means a logo or some other image that they include in their AdSense advertising.
It also means that they are more likely to create videos to promote their businesses. Such adverts tend to pay more per click than simple text ads – but only if the video content matches well with the content of your page. 9. Improving Your AdSense CTR for Higher Online Income We have explained that your AdSense Click Through Rate (CTR) is the percentage of visitors to your page that click on an AdSense advert. So, if you have 20,000 visitors each month, and you get 40 clicks on AdSense ads, your CTR is 0.2% if you get 500 clicks on ads, your CTR is 2.5%. Irrespective of the CPC, you want your CTR to be as high as possible.
We provided some income examples at the beginning of this blog post, and here are some more. If the average CPC paid by Google to you is 40c, then the above examples would give you a monthly income of $16 and $200. If you can increase your CPC to 80c, then you earn $32 to $400 each month. The greater your CTR the better for you – you have more control over this with ad placement than you have over CPC!
Some people make thousands every month using AdSense on multiple sites. However, even with one blog, you have no reason not to maximize your income by using some basic common sense: place your AdSense ads on those areas of your website or blog on which people tend to spend most time. 10. Using Heat Maps This information is available on what are known as ‘heat maps’ – representations of a web page showing where most people tend to spend most of their time and also click the most. By placing your individual AdSense advert or your ad block in the most popular areas of your site, then you should get most clicks – a higher CTR, and hence more income!
Check out our Heat Map Post for more information on how to use them to increase AdSense CPC and CTR on any website or blog. To be truthful, the positioning will only affect your CPC if Google’s crawlers believe the position of the ad to be important (e.g. as a header or close to the top of the page as ‘seen by Google’). It might affect the CTR, although refer to Para 5 above).
The heat map gives you an indication of where people hover most on your page, and more advanced versions can indicate where they also clicked. In the example shown by the above link, you will see most activity was on the navigation links, the newsletter and the content heading. Would these same visitors have clicked on adverts – you don’t know, but you can find out by using heatmap software of your own. A good version is ClickTale – you can try it out free. 11. Top Ways to Increase AdSense CPC: General Tips We shall finish off with some general tips regarding Google AdSense: Try to avoid Link Unit ads: These are ads where there is one link that reveals a number of other adverts (usually 5) when clicked. Visitors object to clicking twice and then getting an advert. They either leave your site or have learned never to click on such links.
Use the ‘Competitive Ad Filter’ to block ads from specific competitors – or even ads relating to your own niche. Why offer your visitors the opportunity to visit another site offering what you do! You can block
AdSense adverts from specific URLs or even block entire categories.
Ad Review Center:
Another option you have is to block advert categories that traditionally do not pay much per click. You can use this to block ads for categories that are not relevant to your site – or that you would rather advertise yourself rather than allow AdSense to do so. Ad Platform: It usually makes little difference whether your blog is shown on desktop PCs, laptops, tablets or cell phones. However, there are cases where cell phone ads can offer a higher CPC, so if you have this option then use it. Make sure your site is available to cell phone searches. Improve The Quality of Your Site: The higher the quality of your website or blog in the eyes of Google’s algorithms or crawlers, then the higher the AdSense CPC of the ads Google is likely to give you. Work for quality backlinks, make good use of keywords and other on-page SEO and make use of Google+ and other social networking sites. You will then be more likely to be given the higher CPC ads for your niche. The extra work can be worth a lot of cash!
Top Ways to Increase AdSense CPC: Summary
Fundamentally, the top ways of enabling you to increase AdSense CPC on your website or blog fall into one of three main categories:
Get good traffic figures – Google places the higher CPC adverts on high traffic sites, Focus your page on keywords that cost most to AdWords users, Use Channels to increase your AdSense CPC, Place your ads carefully so that Google provides top CPC placements where your visitors are most likely to click, and Work hard to maximize your CTR – the proportion of visitors to your site that click on your adverts can influence Google to give you the top-paying AdSense ads.

Do all that, and you should be successful in increasing AdSense CPC on your site to a maximum level. It might not all be in your hands, but if you put in the work and understand what Google is looking for when its places its AdSense adverts, then you should do well in achieving the highest possible CPC. Remember: that improvement translates into hard cash through your AdSense income.

How to apply different meta keywords for each page in your Blogger blog

Optimizing your website by targeting right keywords is the easiest way to drive organic traffic to your website. Targeting right meta keywords is not as easiest as you think. It requires more time and analysis.

Every page on your blogger website may have unique content and you may want to apply different keywords for different pages of your blogger website.For blogger, it’s tedious task as there is no specific functionality provided by blogger. You have to apply manual if-else-else if conditions to achieve so.

Here’s how you can do it.

Steps

(1) Go to blogger dashboard –> Template.

(2) Take back up of your template before applying any changes.

(3) Now go to blogger dashboard –> Template –> Edit HTML.

(4) Find the line ” <b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>“ in template. This line applies similar meta keywords, description to all of the blogger posts.

(5) Here we will tweak the template.

Replace the line,

——————————————————————————————-
<b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>
——————————————————————————————-
with,

——————————————————————————————-
<b:if cond=’data:blog.url == “page-url-1″‘>

<b:else/>

<b:if cond=’data:blog.url == “page-url-2″‘>

<b:else/>

<b:include data=’blog’ name=’all-head-content’/>
<meta content=’main keywords’ name=’keywords’/>
</b:if>
</b:if>

——————————————————————————————-

Code explanation :- here , it applies description1, keywords1 for page-url-1 and description2, keywords2 for page-url-2 . And for all other pages, it applies default keywords and description.

Let me show you example of my website where I have applied different description, keywords for 2 posts.

Inicong Template

Results after applying the tweak,

Result for Page 1

Result for Page 2

Result for All Pages

I.e. You have to apply this for each and every post. So if there are 500 posts, you have to write 500 conditions here. It’s bit tedious but worth giving time to increase search engine (Organic) visits to your website.

Phone number reverse lookup for landlines and cell phone numbers

Because landline users do not bother to maintain that confidentiality, it was easier to find the owner of a particular land phone number. Similarly, the online reverse landline number lookup services list them and make it available publicly. The reverse phone number lookup platforms make the landline numbers publicly available. But they do not provide the cell phone number details for free. The mobile phone numbers are issued by the particular cell phone service providers, rather by the regional phone companies as done in the case of landline numbers.
